The Hong Kong Open golf tournament returned to the Asian Tour as a part of the international circuit following a two-year hiatus in 2023. It will be held at Hong Kong Golf Club from November 21-24, 2024. The tournament organizers opted to reschedule the event until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Asian Tour and the European Tour work together to organize the competition. It was founded in 1959 as one of the five events that made up the inaugural Far East Circuit, which in 1962 changed its name to the Asia Golf Circuit. It was on the circuit in 1996 and joined the Asian Tour (previously the Omega Tour) in 1997. The European Tour arranged it in 2001 for the 2002.
