Kroger Queen City Championship will start from 7–10 September 2023; will follow the 1933 U.S. Amateur, the 1954 Western Open of the PGA Tour, and the 1963 U.S. Women's Open as the fourth prestigious competition held at Kenwood.

The LPGA gave out a record $76.45 million in payouts for the 2021 season. The 2023 event's total prize money will be $2,000,000.

In 1989, Nancy Lopez won the LPGA Championship at the Grizzly Course at the City of Mason Golf Center, formerly the Jack Nicklaus Golf Center at Kings Island. This event, one of the tour's five majors, is currently known as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
