LPGA 2022 Fixtures

After the finished 2021 season at Tiburon Golf Club, the LPGA organizers have announced the 2022 tournament schedule on Friday.

Since the tour visited 12 states in the United States and nine other countries, including Canada, China, Japan, and Taiwan, the LPGA has not visited four countries in the past two seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so 34 items have been recorded Official event.

Many more funds are at risk. The prize money for the next season is a record high for the tour, with $85.7 million available for competition. This number is higher than the adjusted total revenue of $67.5 million this season. Prizes were announced for nine events, including the Chevron Championship (US$5 million, an increase of US$1.9 million), the AIG Women’s Open (US$6.8 million, an increase of US$1.3 million), and the end-of-season CME GroupTour Championship (US$7 million, Rose by 2 million U.S. dollars).

"The stage will be one of the most exciting years in the history of the LPGA Tour in 2022. It will add new events, the largest total prize money ever, more than 500 hours of radio and television, and a joint commitment to becoming a leader, Said Mollie Marcoux Samaan.

The total purse may also increase, and further prize money increases are expected to be declared. In 2021 the US Women’s Open prize money awarded 5.5 million USD, but the prize money for its 2022 tournament at Pine Needles has not yet been announced. The tournament will happen for the first time since 2007.

U.S. Open Congressional Country Club three times will host its first major women's tournament, the KPGA Women's PGA Championship, whereas Muirfield which did not accept female members until 2019, will host the historic AIG Women's Open at the starting of August. In contrast, Mission Hills Country Club, the long-term host of the LPGA, will close its relationship with the Chevron Championship (formerly ANA Inspiration), and the Chevron Championship will move in 2023 to the Houston area.

The remaining schedule featured many notable “twists. The season will begin in January, Florida hosted three consecutive events. After two Asian competitions, the tour will move to the west coast. Four of the next five games, including Chevron, will be held in California and another in Hawaii. The new California event the JTBC Championship will take place at the Palos Verdes Golf Club near Los Angeles.

In 2022 the Evian will start four consecutive European Championships, two of which will be held in Scotland. This is followed by the CP Women’s Open in Ottawa, Ontario in the last week of August and two events in Ohio, including the new championship in Cincinnati, the Kroger Queens City Championship, which is the city's first LPGA event since 1989.

In early October, four Asian swing tournaments will take place immediately. Among these championships, only the BMW Women's Championship took place in South Korea in 2021. See the LPGA Tour 2022 full schedule below.
