The 152nd Open Championship 2024 is a golf event co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour, European Tour, and Japan Golf Tour, it will take place at the Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, England, from 18-21 July 2024. In 2020, it was scheduled for 16-19 July 2020 but was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the 16th Open Championship that will be held at Royal St George's. The first championship played in 2011 was won by Darren Clarke.  

The Open is a 72-hole four-round stroke play tournament, played over four days, with 18 holes being played each day. The tournament field features 156 top golfers who are competing for a total purse of $11,500,000.
