Today, the PGA of America declared that the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 2021 will take place at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia with approximately 8,000 spectators on –site. The tournament will start from 24-27 June 2021.
The decision was made under the coordination of the Johns Creek City Government and the supervision of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
PGA Chairman Jim Richerson said: "The continued upward trajectory and the huge potential of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship make us excited." "We are happy to bring this Grand Slam back to the South. This is the first time in more than 40 years and introduces the world’s best female athletes to the historic high court of the Atlanta Athletic Club. It is a special golf course with many championship traditions, and we expect it to be the setting for an unforgettable competition in June. "
The KPMG Women's PGA Championship 2021 field includes eight PGA / LPGA club professionals who have qualified in 2020 for the PGA Women's Stroke Play Championship. Sandra Changkija has won the tournament by five strokes at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
