American Express PGA Golf Live Online

From 18-21 January 2024

 

Last year, American Express declared that due to local health and security rules that limited group meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held without an audience. The American Express 2024 was previously called as the Desert Classic, CareerBuilder Challenge, Palm Springs Golf Classic, the Bob Hope Desert Classic, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, and the Humana Challenge. It is a PGA Tour event played every season in midwinter in the Coachella Valley.

The American Express will commence from 18-21 January and will take place in La Quinta, California at PGA West and La Quinta Country Club. The 44-time PGA Tour and World Golf Hall of Famer champion Phil Mickelson will lead the tournament and serve as the host of the tournament, playing with the world's 155 best golfers, including defending Champion Andrew Landry.

The three-day pro-am schedules will keep on this season and will be held under the guidance of local health guidelines, and a PGA TOUR COVID-19 testing policy that has been made for professional and amateur players. Before the 2020 Championship, the Mickelson Foundation became the host organization of American Express.
