Dominion Energy Charity Classic Golf Live Online

The Dominion Energy Charity Classic is a Champions Tour golf tournament that will take place from 20-22 October 2023 at the Country Club of Virginia in Henrico, Virginia. The first competition was held in November 2016. The tournament field consists of 81 players competing for a prize of $2 million and is a no-cut 54-hole event.

The field includes Phil Mickelson, who has won five times this event and will start his second PGA Tour Championship after turning 50 in June, as well as members of the World Golf Hall of Fame Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, Colin Montgomerie, Ernie Els, Mark O’Meara, Bernhard Langer, and Sandy Lyle.

Defending champion Miguel Ángel Jiménez will be back after adding two more titles to the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai this season and to Sanford International last month. Jiménez will compete with past champions Woody Austin (2018), Langer (2017), and current Charles Schwab Cup champion Scott Mai Karen (2016).

The 17-time PGA TOUR champion Jim Furyk will make his debut in Richmond. He turned 50 in May and won his first two PGA TOUR Champions. This will be the fourth starting point for the 2003 US Open championship and the 2010 FedEx Cup championship.

At the end of the PGA TOUR championship season, the Dominion Energy Charity Classic is usually the first of three Charles Schwab knockout games. With the emergence of COVID-19 and the cancellation of events caused by the global pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 seasons will be merged into a single 2020-21 season, thereby resuming these three events into a full game with 81 players.

Since the start of the 2016 competition, the Dominion Energy Charity Classic Program has raised more than $3.5 million in funding for charities in the Richmond region, with a focus on organizations that benefit veterans. During the three years, the Dominion Energy Charity Classic has been voted by PGA TOUR Champions as their favorite event in all PGA TOUR Champions tournaments throughout the year. The player award is a recognition of a tournament that goes beyond the experience it provides for the PGA TOUR champions.
