TPC Summerlin is honored to be organizing the Shriners Hospital for Children's Open. The Shriners Hospital for Children's Open is the 2nd event of the FedEx Cup and is held every year in October. This year, in 2024 the competition will take place in  Las Vegas from October 17–20, 2024.

In 1983, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open first played on the PGA Tour schedule as the Panasonic Las Vegas Pro-Celebrity Classic. The competition has already held many courses before it was set at the current location TPC Summerlin.

The championship roster includes some of the most well-known and few of the most decorated names in golf: Tiger Woods, Fuzzy Zoeller, Webb Simpson, Davis Love III, Greg Norman, and Jimy Furyk.

At the same time, the "Shriners Open" is a breakthrough competition for some TOUR players, who won their first success on the PGA TOUR of TPC Summerlin (including Tiger Woods).

In the field of the 2019 Shriners Open, five-time winner Phil Mickelson, world number one Brooks Koepka, and 19 of the world's top 50 golfers participated in the competition. Since 2003, this is the best Shriners field. In 2018, the spectator ratio was raised from 55,000 to 72,842.
