In 2022, the LPGA Tour returned to the New Jersey Turnpike for the Cognizant Founders Cup, hosted for the first time by the Upper Montclair Country Club under a multi-year deal. In this tournament, the 144 entrants will compete for the $3 million prize money for four four-day events which will start from 09-12 May 2024.

The Cognizant Founders Cup field featured world top golfers such as Lydia Ko, Jin Young Ko, Minjee Lee, and more. More than a decade ago, the Founders Cup was a celebration of 13 women who played important roles in the founding of the LPGA Tour. Spork, Bauer Hagge, Marilynn Smith, and Louise Suggs were the four women who witnessed the event as they celebrated their achievements in establishing the world's premier women's golf tour and what is now the oldest consecutive professional sports league for women.
